Boc | Journey of Hannes Part 13 | Great runebear hunt

Through mire and mist they marched with will,
Boc and Hannes, hearts held still.
Their bellies burned, their packs were bare,
but hope can bloom on hungriest air.
The Great Runebear, in rune-fire clad,
roared like gods in battle mad.
Fangs met thread, and claw met flame,
their fight became a woven name.
Boc danced swift, with needle’s grace,
Hannes struck from shadow’s face.
The forest shook, the stars stood still —
then silence bowed to mortal will.
With sweat and scars, they dressed the beast,
and by the lake, they made a feast.
Meat hissed sweet on iron plate,
fat and laughter sealed their fate.
The moon rose soft on Liurnia’s shore,
peace fell like cloaks they’d stitched before.
No gold, no song, no crown or fame —
just fire, full bellies, and bonds with name.
