Deaths Of Albizia Trees IV

Deaths Of Albizia Trees is about our neighbor - who bought his property recently (at the time) and decided the Albizia Trees have to go. Now, Albizia Trees are - as beautiful and tall as they are - very much hated among the local population. Their wood is junk wood (with few exceptions in the Fabaceae family) and their branches break off easily during stronger trade winds. Especially during rare hurricanes. Quite a number of folks have died while driving in their car through Albizia Alleys - with those branches coming down on them. We are talking about huge branches. They also tend to flatten homes in storms, so people want them all gone. Estelle and I were not afraid of them and loved the sound their leaves made during breezy weather.

Here, the Caterpillar gave up again. It did so quite a few times. The terrain is Blue Rock and extremely hard. The thing also broke into a lava tube and they discovered a huge one very close - going hundreds of yards down. It is connected to a network of tubes in Leilani Estates. However, as I am uploading these videos, lava has been intruding into the majority of tubes. The lava stopped just 100 yards shy of hour house in 2018.
