This Run Almost Broke Me

I signed up for a mud run with zero running experience and no idea what to expect. The first time, I did it with one of my clients and it was fun but the second time around, I wanted to challenge myself.

Turns out, it was way harder than I thought. There were plenty of moments I wanted to quit, but I didn’t. I pushed through and ended up completing the 3.1-mile obstacle course in 20 minutes and 46 seconds.

What I learned: if you do something once and you’re not happy with the result, don’t just leave it there. Go back. Do it again. Prove it to yourself. You might not get another chance.

After the mud, sweat, and finish line, I celebrated with cake and time with my girlfriend, a reminder to balance hard work with simple joys.
