Thanksgiving

This is Thanksgiving Weekend where we live and there is much to be grateful for. Even when circumstances are not good, even when the future seems dark, we cleave to Jesus Christ and are thankful. Many despise the great gift of the cross, where the holy, pure, and perfect Saviour paid the ransom and bore the sin, the dirt, and the weakness of humanity. If we meditate on all that God has done to give His people salvation, perhaps you will come to understand the greatness of Christ’s sacrifice. If you come to see the pain in His heart, knowing that even after suffering and dying for all, many would reject and despise Him, then perhaps you will come closer to understanding the greatness of His self-giving for which we give thanks.
