Demon Ducks & Psycho Bunnies - Crucible's Shadow

Our contribution to Halloween 2025.

They came from the lake where the moonlight burns,
Leather wings slick with the smell of turns,
Duck eyes glowing, blacker than tar,
(yeah) psycho bunnies dancing on broken cars.
The floorboards creak—feathers and teeth,
Jack-o’-lantern eyes watch under the eaves,
Feast of the night, sugar and spite,
Feathers flick like knives in the light.

Hear that screech in the cornfield’s breath,
Twisted claws painting signs of death.
(hey!) I can’t tell if I’m dream or prey,
But I dance ‘cause they said “we play!”

Demon Ducks & Psycho Bunnies,
chanting loud, no church, no money!
Spinning wild in blood-red honey,
Halloween’s my sugar, honey!

Mirror on the floor, cracked in red,
Something laughed from under the bed.
Teeth like pearls in a grin too wide,
Feathers dripping paint on the other side.
(ha!) Rabbits with blades, ducks in disguise,
Singing lullabies with sulfur eyes,
“Join the flock,” they croon in sync,
I take one sip and the stars all blink.

“QUACK QUACK, RUN RUN” — drums go wild,
Bassline slaps like a demon child,
Static rain on a broken screen,
We’re the ghosts of Halloween!

Spinning lights, heart-beat gun,
Candy melts and the chase begun,
Laughs in stereo, wings on fire,
This nightmare’s choir, my new desire.

Demon Ducks & Psycho Bunnies,
chanting loud, no church, no money!
Spinning wild in blood-red honey,
Halloween’s my sugar, honey!
