A strange British comedy that just has to be seen.
The first film featuring Martin Clunes as Doc Martin - although Martin Bamford and not Martin Ellingham - and a very different character - two more films followed in 2001 and 2003 before the actual Doc Martin series started in 2004.
Actually Martin has a small part only in this film, Brenda Blethyn is the main character - I won't give too much away, but it is both funny and controversial.
Carried a 15 rating in the UK.
