At the World Economic Forum, Nita Farahany, Professor at Duke Law, showcased a mockup of neurotechnology that monitors and manipulates employee brain activity.

In the demo, workers wear neurotech headsets while their brain data is decoded in real-time. When one employee starts to daydream, the boss activates “bossware”—stimulating the worker’s brain to refocus instantly.

Farahany concludes: “This technology already exists. This is the future.”

In this clip, Jesse Beltran analyzes:

The WEF’s open endorsement of cognitive surveillance.

The merging of neurotechnology and workplace control.

How “bossware” represents the next frontier of behavioral engineering.

The growing need for neurorights and brain privacy protections.

Questions to Consider:

• What happens when employers can access your brain data in real time?

• How do we prevent “productivity control” from turning into thought policing?

• Who protects cognitive freedom when brain tech becomes policy?
