Apatros Review Ep-0186: Night of The Zombies [1981] ("Gamma 693")

AR-0186: One of the most boring zombie films of the early 1980s and definitely the worst Nazi Zombie film I have encountered thus far [even "Oasis of The Zombies" & "Zombie Lake" outclass this one], this is only a Nazi Zombie film on the periphery, as it is primarily a spy caper [a common genre at the time this was shot - in the 1970s] that just so happened to have flesh-eating WWII GI and SS zombies as a plot hook [yeah, a combined military force of American GIs and German "Electrical Workers Union" military street thugs turned undead through the use of an American experimental chemical weapon], as the CIA agent protagonist [played by a famous porno actor - Jamie Gillis] heads out to deal with these ghoulish leftovers, possibly by telling them to return so they can claim their back pay... Or something, as well as to recover the gas.

Lame acting from the human cast [the zombie cast are surprisingly lively for a bunch of grey corpses], badly done sets, lack of action and a dull pace really robs this film's potential.

That being said, you get to see a scene featuring a topless hooker and the most badass glassing in 1980s Z-movie history, so there's that...
