Why is the UK deporting illegal migrants to France? They’re not even French citizens — so what’s the logic behind sending them there? Shouldn’t they be returned to their own countries instead?

1,075 illegal migrants crossed the English Channel yesterday. Over 35,000 in total this year so far.

Today, we’re removing just 19 illegal migrants under the "one in, one out" deal with France.

France will then send 19 migrants in return. Such a pointless, expensive gimmick.
