Note: Aired from this saddest day on the passing of Chicago Film Critic, Gene Siskel at age 53. Leaving in three news reports from CBS and ABC from the beginning to end. Not to mention, the very first episode featuring a guest critic starting with Tom Shales. The following episode was postponed a week for "Remembering Gene Siskel" Special.

Roger Ebert and Guest Critic, Tom Shales of "The Washington Post" & NPR's Morning Edition reviews "Office Space" (Mike Judge's hilarious satirical comedy take at the Office where the Boss is a Jerk and everyone wants to get out! Starring: Ron Livingston, Gary Cole, Stephen Root, David Herman, Orlando Jones and Jennifer Aniston.); "October Sky" (An Amazing Drama set in 50s West Virginia about a Coal Miner and his two sons, one of them is interested in Rocket Science and wants to built rockets. Directed By: Joe Johnston. Starring: Chris Cooper, Jake Gyllenhaal, Chris Owen, Laura Dern and Scott Miles.); "The 24-Hour Woman"; "Jawbreaker" (Very Lame "Heathers"-wannabe Teen Dark Comedy and long before a better film came along called "Mean Girls". Starring: Rose McGowan, Rebecca Gayheart, Julie Benz, William Katt, P.J. Soles and Pam Grier. Written & Directed By: Darren Stein.) and "Tango" (Shales' amusing Thumbs Down dance during the review was a riot! But, it was a mesmerizing Argentine & Spanish Dance Musical Drama! Written & Directed By: Carlos Saura. Starring Miguel Ángel Solá and Mía Maestro).

Video Pick of The Week: Normally, Siskel & Ebert would each pick a film as a suggestion for viewers. This time, Shales' pick is the short-lived FOX Sitcom, "Get A Life". Starring: Chris Elliot, Bob Elliot and Brian Doyle-Murray. On DVD. (Hilarious Show that I Love!) And a recap of Today's Program!

Plus, CBS Evening News, ABC World News Tonight and CBS News Sunday Morning reports on a tribute to Gene Siskel.

Recorded on KATU ABC 2 & KOIN CBS 6 in Portland, Oregon with Commercials intact.
