Ubisoft CANCELLED a New Assassin's Creed Game Over Yasuke Backlash!

Ubisoft had an idea about making an Assassin's Creed game set during Post-Civil War America, focusing on a former slave joining the Brotherhood. It would have been the story set furthest into the future and the possibilities could have been interesting. The game was cancelled in part to what was perceived as an increasingly polarized political climate in the USA, but largely due to the very Black, not too Samurai Yasuke in Shadows.

It might have been an interesting take on the time of Reconstruction, but given it was modern Ubisoft, we dodged a bullet... or a whipping.
