I finally arrive at Nunobiki Falls and find Mitsumune. What I find is not a warrior leading an army, but a man weathered by time, loss, and the slow erosion of faith. He clings not to power or pride, but to a statue of Shinran—a symbol of hope now stolen by bandits. This theft weighs heavy on his soul, more than even he will admit. His strength, his men, and even his purpose seem to waver under this burden.

If I can retrieve the statue, perhaps I can restore his faith—not just in the divine, but in this cause, in himself, in the fire that still smolders deep within him. So I travel next to Toneyama Post Town in the Senri Hills. The bandits there may not know what they’ve stolen, but I do. They’ve stolen more than a relic—they’ve stolen a man’s reason to fight.

But I will retrieve it. That is the next step in this journey, and I will not falter.
