LR308 Upper Receiver Out of Spec Yet It Functions Well

Upper receiver is from some unknown manufacturer that is no longer in business. My receiver rod wouldn't fit in the charging handle tunnel unless I loosened the bar on the top of the rod. With the bar tightened it does fit in my friends AR308 upper receiver so I don't think the problem is with the Midwest Industries receiver rod.
Fortunately the firearm functions fine.
