Charlie Kirk shot dead at event in Utah

Today we discuss the shocking death of right-wing political commentator, Charlie Kirk. The political world and the world in general is in disbelief after the founder of Turning point USA was shot dead at the first stop of his tour in Utah. Kirk was an outspoken conservative voice on the right-wing side of the political sphere who was only 31 years old with a wife and two kids. Despite some of his controversial beliefs, he certainly didn’t deserve to go out in this gruesome fashion. Still there are people cheering this man’s death due to the many controversial statements that he made while he was alive. So if that doesn’t go to show the place we are in as a country, I don’t know what does. Especially after something like this, political tensions are at an all time high and some of the vulgar reactions to this occurrence explain how there could be enough hatred and malice for something like this to happen. This is not a moment to bring out the pitchforks and tie this back to our main political issues. This is a time to take a step back and realize that this could be yet another distraction from the deep state to keep us all hating each other and at each other’s throats. Despite our political beliefs, we are all human beings and this shouldn’t be a moment of division but a moment where we can all come together and realize that there is far more that should bring us together than what brings us apart.
