A red river of cars stuck in traffic — this is the situation on the Beijing–Hong Kong–Macau highway.

The reason is the festive "Golden Week." These are nationwide holidays from October 1 to 8, dedicated to the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Traffic came to a standstill even before the holidays. At that time, one of the drivers said he went to his hometown for the holidays and was stuck in traffic for a whole day.
