UNIT The Boy, The Girl & The Bridge.

Miss Yip was a malicious cow. We had her for PE.
She hated boys but most of all, I knew she hated me.
She carried a bamboo cane and often used it on my thighs.
Those red welts on my legs echoed the red rage in her eyes.

Roberta Novak said I ought to formally report her
but what damage might she inflict before they finally caught her?
One Saturday I went for a run to the bridge by Lasham Lane,
over which I knew no trains would ever run again.

Under the bridge I stopped for a while to piss against the wall.
Miss Yip appeared beside me; she was not impressed at all.
“Martin, you’re disgusting.” was what she said to me
but why did she stare at my cock as she watched me pee?

Behind her stood two children whom I could not quite discern;
although their dread identities I would later learn.
The light behind them caused them to appear as silhouettes
yet that dreadful pair would be the cause of infinite regrets.

The girl asked me my name although her voice I thought I knew.
“Martin.” I called out with Miss Yip not sure what to do.
“You’re going to die next week.” she said yet sounded rather sad.
I stepped toward her, then I stopped, convinced I’m going mad.

I gazed in horror at the pair, shocked by what I could see.
The girl was Roberta...and the boy was me!
