Hamas issued a statement. Key Quotes:

— We announce the achievement of an agreement to end the war in Gaza, withdraw occupation forces, allow humanitarian aid, and exchange prisoners.

— We call on US President Trump, the guarantor countries of the agreement, and various Arab, Islamic, and international parties to oblige the occupation government to fulfill all the terms of the agreement and not allow it to evade or delay the implementation of the agreements reached.

— We will not abandon the national rights of our people until freedom, independence, and self-determination are achieved.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu also confirmed the agreement with Hamas:

— Tomorrow I will convene the government to approve the agreement and bring all our dear hostages home.

— I thank the heroic IDF soldiers and all the security forces whose bravery and sacrifice have brought us to this day...

US President Donald Trump was the first to officially announce the agreement. A few minutes later, the Egyptian government announced peace, followed by Hamas and Israel. Netanyahu and Trump are also reported to have held a phone call, which will result in Trump's visit to Israel this Sunday.

All living Israeli hostages will be released by the end of the week (Saturday or Sunday). According to Arab media reports, Hamas's key goal in the final phase of the negotiations, as part of a crucial prisoner exchange to end the war in Gaza, was the release of former Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti. He is currently serving five life sentences in an Israeli prison.

Barghouti is considered the most popular Palestinian politician according to polls, and many call him the «Palestinian Nelson Mandela». It is believed that Barghouti could become the new leader of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Right-wing Israeli media appear to be very disappointed. Yediot Ahronot, for example, reported that «Israel has lost the war», Centrist Israeli media are also not particularly happy, noting that «for 20 Israeli hostages, Israel will release 2,000 Palestinian prisoners».
