Rabab Mustafa, a Canadian human rights activist, sailed with 16 others from Libya, Scotland, UK, US, and Nigeria onboard the Omar Mukhtar Flotilla, which sailed with the Global Sumud Flotilla to Gaza with the objective of breaking the siege on Gaza amid the genocide. Rabab was held with nearly 500 others in the zionist occupation prison for five days following the ships illegal interception in international waters on October 2 and suffered mental and physical abuse by the IOF.

Rabab could not sit at home witnessing the live-streamed daily atrocities committed against the Palestinian people when she made the decision to travel to North Africa to join the flotilla.

The Omar Mukhtar Flotilla carried food and medical supplies, including the Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya Medical Unit to be delivered for the Children of Gaza, named after the Palestinian paediatrician. Rabab says this direct action is just the beginning and calls on Canada and the world to end the genocide.
