Chris McDonald, Bays Leap Farm Manager.

Chris McDonald is Manager of Bay's Leap Farm. They are an Organic Dairy Farm and small farm shop on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne in the small village of Heddon on the Wall.

The farm has over 1000 cows. Farm manager Chris (pictured with some of the dairy cows above), is passionate about his cows and as an organic farmer this passion begins in the soil. As a keen soil enthusiast, Chris has often been spotted on TV or in news articles about caring for the farm land which doesn't get any artificial fertilisers or pesticide. His care for things right from the beginning can now be tasted in their raw milk which has a much sweeter and creamier taste with many health benefits compared to shelf bought milk.

The cows are grass-fed and all their food (forage) is home grown. They do not use any of the Bovaer additives. They sell Organic milk to to public direct from the farm and run 3 small shops on the farm.

A passion for regenerative farming and producing high quality food for the local community has seen many changes on the farm in the management and farming practices. Jeremy is determined to farm in a manner that regenerates the soils and biodiversity on the farm whilst helping to prevent climate change.Kathryn is the force behind the farm shop and the farms camping and Glamping.
