In this video I present to you a timelapse of 3D modelling an ARTT-78; a fictional submachine gun I drew on paper and brought to life in SketchUp and Lumion.

Weapon story:
During the late 2060s coastal cities in Southern Africa experienced repeated gang/corporate incursions and urban guerrilla operations. Umkhonto’s engineers built the ARTT-78 as a compact, easily-manufactured 9×19mm submachine gun optimized for rapid close-quarters engagements, low logistic burden, and suppressed operations for urban counter-insurgency. The ARTT-78 was adopted by municipal security forces, Pan-African Federation (PAF) rapid-response units and later by private militias across the continent for its balance of controllability and stopping power.

Its reputation: “a small, honest gun that keeps working”, nicknamed the Sparrow in South African barracks for its quick, chirping burst and compact silhouette. In WW4 the ARTT-78 is frequently seen in city ruins, on rooflines during raids, and as the weapon of choice for covert Metro Rangers and boarding teams.
