In this episode of Identity Politics, Kevin DeAnna takes on the escalating showdown between federal authority and rebellious city governments. As President Trump deploys federal agents to enforce immigration law in places like Portland and Chicago, local officials refuse to cooperate, block access, and even order police to stand down. Proof that America’s ruling class now treats law enforcement as “fascism,” while the Right still clings to procedures the Left abandoned long ago.

This crisis goes far deeper than immigration or policing. America’s political class no longer agrees on what the country is or who it’s for. When governors defy the president, when mobs harrass federal agents, and when courts tie the government’s hands, Kevin asks whether America still is a country at all. A country that fears to use its own power won’t have it for long, and the age of means is ending. The age of Caesars is coming.

Finally, Kevin looks to El Salvador as a beacon of hope, where President Bukele proved that a nation can be saved when leaders stop obeying the system and act. But America’s problem isn’t incompetence, it’s intent. The real question is is anyone is brave enough to do what El Salvador did.
