Lindsey Graham on Getting Phone Records Subpoenaed: ‘I’m Going to Sue the Crap out of These People’

Hannity: “Senator Graham joins us now with more. You know, John Solomon characterized it last night as an enemies list. Do you feel like an enemy?”
Graham: “Well, here’s what I want people to understand. We have checks and balances in our country. I was the chairman of the Judiciary Committee in January of 2021. I made phone calls to a lot of people to find out what I should do as a senator regarding certifying the election and whether or not, as chairman of the committee, we should have hearings. And to find out that Jack Smith in 2023, 30 months after the fact, wants to know who I called and where they were at and where I was at, is beyond unnerving. And whether you like me or not, agree with my politics, it should bother you greatly that a United States senator would be — his phone records or her phone records would be subpoenaed by the FBI 30 months later, with no reason to believe I’m involved in any crime. It is really an abuse of the process. But here’s what your viewers need to understand. Trump in November the 15th, 2022, two years after the 2020 election, said he would run for president. He announced he’s going to run for president in 2022 for the ‘24 election. Within eight months, 91 indictments were levied against him coming from New York, Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Florida. 91 felony charges against Donald Trump. Here’s what I believe. If he had never announced he was going to run for president, None of this would have happened. They were trying to destroy his comeback. This was all orchestrated by Jack Smith, Alvin Bragg, Fani Willis, Letitia James to destroy this man so he could not win in 2024. I’ve seen this movie before. I am going to look at what happened to me and my fellow senators. My lawyer, John Kennedy, will be on next. And if they did this without good reason and without cause, I’m gonna sue the crap out of these people.”
Hannity: “Are you talking about suing Smith directly?”
Graham: “Whoever I can sue on behalf of the future of people who will come after me. We cannot allow the abuse of power to go unannounced — I mean, unchecked. One guy went to jail for a year in Crossfire Hurricane. Comey is finally being looked at after all these years. If they don’t pay a price now, they’ll keep doing it. But I just want you to understand, from the time President Trump announced he was running for president in 2022, by 2023, there were 91 indictments against him for a bunch of BS. Alvin Bragg brought felony charges against Trump for misdemeanors combined, and nobody in the history of Manhattan had ever been charged under that theory. Jack Smith released a document about why he thought Trump was guilty in October, right before the election, violating protocol of the Department of Justice. And October the 24th, about two weeks before the ‘24 election, Jack Smith released to the public his brief regarding the allegations against Trump. Trump is charged with compromising classified material? Hillary Clinton took a hammer, her people did, to the hard drive to destroy it and BleachBit to wipe away evidence of her wrongdoing, and she didn’t get charged with anything. This stinks to high heaven. I’m tired of it. God bless Dan Bongino and Kash Patel and Pam Bondi. We’ve got new people in town to clean this mess up, and my goal is not to do this to Democrats, to make sure it’s never done to anybody in the future. And those of us that were wronged, if we were wronged, pay a price. Pay a price.”
