Why Would Robinson Jump Off the Roof when he could just Take The Stairs?

The roof jump was clearly an edit, I've jumped off a similar height when I was an adolescent, less high even, not knowing how high the ledge was and it took me out, terrible pain and I was on the ground for a while, couldn't move and had to go to the chiropractor after, the point being there's NO WAY he jumped off that roof and landed on his feet, no roll, didnt even bend his knees, and walked away uninjured.

It was an edit and the edit is part of the show, that's why he jumped from it. Otherwise WHY jump.. just walk down and around, and go in the woods.
