Altered Beast (Arcade / 1988

Altered Beast is a classic side-scrolling beat 'em up arcade game. The player is a resurrected Roman centurion, brought back to life by the god Zeus to rescue his daughter Athena from the demon god Neff.
The core gameplay involves fighting through mythological enemies. By collecting power-ups from defeated enemies, the player's character transforms into powerful beasts, each with unique and stronger attacks. After collecting three power-ups, the player fully transforms into a beast like the Werewolf, Werebear, or Weredragon, becoming powerful enough to defeat the level's boss.
