Day 280 – Not by Might, but by My Spirit — Zechariah 1–4 | Bible In A Year (CSB)

Zechariah’s opening visions blend warning with deep encouragement. God calls His people to return to Him, promises to rebuild what was broken, and reminds them that His work is accomplished—not by human power—but by His Spirit. Through powerful imagery, He reveals His plan to cleanse, restore, and empower His people once more.

Questions:
1. What do the first visions in Zechariah teach us about God’s presence and activity even when His people feel forgotten?

2. How does Joshua’s cleansing as high priest in chapter 3 point us toward the gospel and our own standing before God?

3. What does the message “not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit” (4:6) reveal about the way God accomplishes His purposes through His people today?
