Airplane graveyard near Moscow
1
During much of the Cold War, the Soviet Union possessed the world's largest air force. At its peak, around 1980, the Soviet Air Force had 10,000 active aircraft, significantly exceeding the combined forces of NATO. With the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War, many of these aircraft were simply abandoned in parks across the country. This video, filmed by Drone Nest, gives you a bird's-eye view of one such aircraft graveyard in the Moscow region.
