THE PAT WHITE SHOW notes that on November 4th, residents in the Northwest Allen County School District will be voting on a referendum to increase their property taxes to pay more funds to the district to offset an option afforded to other school districts in Indiana including FWCS and SAC. If approved by voters, teachers will receive a pay raise of approximately $3,000 per year. The problem is partially based upon the fact that the district has a large residential tax base, but the largest commercial facilities are tax exempt. In the end, it must be remembered that the Executive Board has the final decision on where the money goes which is noted in the fine print.
