13 No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it.

The Word of God To Meditate On Today: "Your Temptation Is In Your Class"

Three things to note:

Temptation is “human-scale,” not exotic. Paul says our tests are common to humanity (Greek anthrōpinos). That breaks shame and isolation: you’re not the first or only one to face this shape of pressure. It invites humility and accountability rather than secrecy (cf. 10:12).

God’s faithfulness—not your willpower—is the center. The subject of the verbs is God: He faithfully regulates the test, won’t allow it to exceed grace supplied, and will also provide the exit. God does not entice to evil (Jas 1:13); He limits and sustains—a calibrated providence (see Job 1:12; 2:6).

“The way out” is often a path through. The word for “way out” (ekbasis) pairs with “that you may endure it.” Sometimes deliverance is removal; often it’s perseverance with a practical exit: fleeing idols (10:14), leaning on the body of Christ (10:16–17), Scripture, prayer, confession, and wise boundaries. It echoes the Exodus pattern—God opens a path and calls us to walk it.

12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

4 When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

12 And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.

6 And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”

Flee from Idolatry 14 Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.

16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

Prayer Points:
Prayer 1:Father, engrave in my heart that my temptations are not unique; break shame and isolation, and surround me with a faithful remnant who strengthen my hands, in Jesus’ name.
