Serial: The Great Adventures of Captain Kidd, 1953

Two officers, Richard Dale and Alan Duncan, are assigned by the British Admirality to collect evidence in order to convict Captain Kidd of piracy in the English courts. They set sail for New York to find out Kidd's location, and they join his crew by pretending to be regular sailors. They discover that Kidd, the seven seas' renowned swashbuckler, is not a scoundrel and plunderer.
