Standing on the Word of Life; 1John 1:1-4

Delivered during the Evenfall; Sunday Evening Worship, 10/5/2025. As we delve into John's first letter we will focus on the four verses of his prologue. We will pay particular attention to his immediate and somewhat embedded refutation of the false doctrine of Docetism and the establishment of the authority of the apostolic fellowship. But primarily we will see his insistence on the centrality of the Word of Life as the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice. After carefully defining what John means by the "Word of Life", we will learn that those who desire to stay in the true fellowship with the Father and the Son, we will stand on nothing else but the Word of Life!
