Call out of work, walkout of school, and take the streets!

Honor the martyrs of Gaza and all of Palestine. For 77 years israel has waged genocide against the Palestinian people, and for the past two years Gaza has endured a new stage of that genocide while the world has watched it unfold live on our screens.

The media has spent these two years lying and manufacturing consent for genocide, dehumanizing Palestinians over and over. Hundreds of Palestinian journalists who livestreamed the truth and humanized their people were killed by israel. Honoring the martyrs means putting their names and stories right in front of the news outlets that erased them and forcing the truth into the spotlight they tried to bury.

Governments, including the United States, have done nothing but enable it. Let New York City echo with the names and memories of those taken by israel’s drones, bombs, bullets, prisons, and siege. Netanyahu is only one face of this genocide, a front man for a Zionist project carried forward with U.S. support. It is our duty in the belly of the beast to make clear that the people of New York City stand against genocide and Zionism.

Bring your signs, flags, banners, contingents, and your outrage to uplift the martyrs and demand justice for Palestine. And even here in New York, journalists covering this struggle are being targeted. The NYPD has raided, arrested, and even charged a reporter after a New York Times action.

¡No asistas al trabajo, salgan de las escuelas y tomen las calles!

Honremos a las personas mártires de Gaza y de toda Palestina. Durante 77 años, Israel ha perpetrado un genocidio contra el Pueblo Palestino, y en los últimos dos años, Gaza ha sufrido una nueva etapa de ese genocidio mientras el mundo lo ha visto desarrollarse en directo en nuestras pantallas.

Los medios de comunicación han pasado estos dos años mintiendo y fabricando el consentimiento para el genocidio, deshumanizando a las personas palestinas una y otra vez. Cientos de periodistas palestinos que transmitieron la verdad en directo y humanizaron a su pueblo fueron asesinados por Israel. Honrar a las personas mártires significa poner sus nombres e historias justo frente a los medios que los borraron y sacar a la luz la verdad que intentaron ocultar.

Los gobiernos, incluido el de Estados Unidos, no han hecho más que facilitarlo. Que la ciudad de Nueva York resuene con los nombres y el recuerdo de quienes fueron tomados por los drones de Israel, las bombas, las balas, las prisiones y el bloqueo (contra Gaza). Netanyahu es solo una cara de este genocidio, un testaferro de un proyecto sionista impulsado con el apoyo de Estados Unidos. Es nuestro deber, en las entrañas de la bestia, dejar claro que la gente de la ciudad de Nueva York se opone al genocidio y al sionismo.

Traigan sus carteles, banderas, pancartas, contingentes y su indignación para honrar a las personas mártires y exigir justicia para Palestina. Incluso aquí en Nueva York, periodistas que cubren esta lucha están siendo atacadas y atacados. El Departamento de Policía de la ciudad de Nueva York (NYPD) ha allanado, arrestado e incluso acusado a una periodista tras una acción contra el New York Times.
