Operation "West-2025"

During the joint strategic exercise "West-2025," the Baltic Fleet's amphibious assault boat "Lieutenant Rimsky-Korsakov" successfully landed troops at a simulated enemy port under the cover of naval gunfire and air support.

As part of the operation, Mi-24 attack helicopters targeted ground positions while the "Vladimir Nosov" and "Georgiy Potechin" patrol boats neutralized enemy defenses. A Ka-27PS helicopter then delivered tactical forces to secure the port area. The amphibious unit also deployed BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, showcasing seamless coordination among various military branches.

This exercise underscores troop preparedness for combat-like conditions, continuing on training ranges in Belarus and Russia, as well as in the Baltic and Barents Seas.
