When We Run, God Still Calls Us Back

The story of Jonah illustrates the human tendency to claim devotion to God while simultaneously running away from His will. Like Jonah, we often prioritize our own desires over God’s, leading to spiritual distress. God uses challenges and difficulties to teach us dependence on Him, stripping away self-reliance and selfishness so that we can truly love Him and our neighbors as ourselves.
