Once again, the federal government has shut down. This time it's about passing a CR to keep government open through the end of the year. The Republicans want a "clean" spending bill with no changes to the current approved budget. The left wants big changes and increasing the budget by $1.2 Trillion dollars. They also want to repeal changes to the "Big, Beautiful Bill" that Congress passed months ago. As a result, we have an impasse and a government shutdown. How long this will last is anyone's guess.
