The Shiziguan Floating Bridge (also called the “Bridge of Dreams”) in Enshi, Hubei Province, China, is a pontoon-style floating bridge about 500 meters (≈ 1,640 feet) long and 4.5 meters wide, using ultra-high-density polyethylene floats to support both pedestrians and light vehicles.

It was built in 2016 by Shanghai Qihua Waterborne Engineering Construction Co., Ltd, employing what’s described as “German anti-rollover technology” to maintain stability, particularly under vehicle loads.

Vehicles crossing are limited by weight (around 2.8 tons) and speed (≈ 20 km/h) to avoid generating excessive wave or oscillatory motion that could compromise structure integrity.
