Wrestling with thoughts too heavy to name, I climbed to the highest point of Mount Kongo. From here, the world stretched wide and serene—forests breathing with wind, rivers whispering stories, distant rooftops promising shelter and life. It should have brought peace. But not far below, a rot clung to the mountainside: the Mount Kongo Retreat, now occupied by those who serve the wicked will of Nobunaga and the cursed 11 masks. Their armor glinted not with honor but with stolen light, smeared by the blood of farmers, healers, children.

Perhaps it is too soon. Perhaps I am not yet the force I one day must become. But I could not—would not—look away. I descended like shadow, blade drawn, heart steady. The guards fell, one after the other. Their cries died quickly, offering no warning to the next. I took what they took from others—gold, armor, weapons, and finally, their breath. A small rebellion, yes. But one spark can burn a field of lies. If I am to reclaim these lands, I must begin somewhere. Let it begin here, with blood and silence on Mount Kongo.
