The Feast of Tabernacles: Comparing Zechariah 14 to Revelation 20

The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) is more than a harvest festival—it points to God’s ultimate plan of dwelling with His people. In this teaching, we explore the prophetic application of Sukkot to the Second Coming and the ultimate fulfillment of Sukkot to the end of the millennium.

We study how Zechariah 14 and Revelation 20 both describe the same final events. We consider that the Old Testament never directly mentions the “heavenly” or “new” Jerusalem by name, though its visions foreshadow the same Revelation scenes. This difference in terminology causes many to misapply references of Jerusalem to the millennium when in fact it in reference to the heavenly New Jerusalem.

A similar example comes from Gog and Magog: are there two separate wars, one in Ezekiel and one in Revelation? Or has the timing of the one Gog and Magog war been misunderstood? Discover how Ezekiel’s vision aligns with John’s, and why the ultimate fulfillment comes at the end of the thousand years.
