The Path of Life Leads Upward | Proverbs 15 Prophetic Song
🕊️ Proverbs 15 reveals the contrast between wisdom and folly, light and darkness, humility and pride — but above all, it reveals the inner path of the heart. Each verse is a mirror reflecting how the wise live in harmony with Yahweh’s Spirit, while the foolish destroy their own peace.
From the opening line, “A gentle answer turns away wrath,” we see how wisdom begins not in power, but in restraint — a heart governed by the Spirit rather than emotion. Verse by verse, the chapter reveals that Yahweh’s eyes see everything — not just actions, but motives, intentions, and the hidden thoughts of the heart.
True wisdom cannot be bought; it is born in humility. “The fear of Yahweh teaches wisdom. Before honor is humility.” This is not fear as in terror, but holy reverence — a recognition of God’s greatness that transforms how we speak, act, and respond. The tongue becomes a “tree of life” when it yields to the Spirit’s counsel, bringing healing instead of harm.
The prophetic essence of Proverbs 15 is that the “path of life leads upward for the wise.” Wisdom is not just knowledge — it’s the divine direction that draws us closer to eternity, lifting us from the gravity of sin and pride into the atmosphere of Heaven. The upward path is the way of peace, purity, and purpose.
📖 Proverbs 15 (WEB) Word for Word Lyrics with Prophetic Ending
🎶 Lyrics – “The Path of Life Leads Upward”
[Verse 1]
A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.
The tongue of the wise commends knowledge,
but the mouth of fools gushes out folly.
[Verse 2]
Yahweh’s eyes are everywhere,
keeping watch on the evil and the good.
A gentle tongue is a tree of life,
but deceit in it crushes the spirit.
[Verse 3]
A fool despises his father’s correction,
but he who heeds reproof shows prudence.
In the house of the righteous is much treasure,
but the income of the wicked brings trouble.
[Verse 4]
The lips of the wise spread knowledge,
not so with the heart of fools.
The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh,
but the prayer of the upright is His delight.
[Verse 5]
The way of the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh,
but He loves him who follows after righteousness.
There is stern discipline for one who forsakes the way,
whoever hates reproof shall die.
[Verse 6]
Sheol and Abaddon are before Yahweh—
how much more then the hearts of the children of men!
A scoffer doesn’t love to be reproved;
he will not go to the wise.
[Verse 7]
A glad heart makes a cheerful face,
but an aching heart breaks the spirit.
The heart of one who has understanding seeks knowledge,
but the mouths of fools feed on folly.
[Verse 8]
All the days of the afflicted are wretched,
but one who has a cheerful heart enjoys a continual feast.
Better is little, with the fear of Yahweh,
than great treasure with trouble.
[Verse 9]
Better is a dinner of herbs, where love is,
than a fattened calf with hatred.
A wrathful man stirs up contention,
but one who is slow to anger appeases strife.
[Verse 10]
The way of the sluggard is like a thorn patch,
but the path of the upright is a highway.
A wise son makes a father glad,
but a foolish man despises his mother.
[Verse 11]
Folly is joy to one who is void of wisdom,
but a man of understanding keeps his way straight.
Where there is no counsel, plans fail;
but in a multitude of counselors they are established.
[Verse 12]
Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth.
How good is a word at the right time!
The path of life leads upward for the wise,
to keep him from going downward to Sheol.
[Verse 13]
Yahweh will uproot the house of the proud,
but He will keep the widow’s borders intact.
Yahweh detests the thoughts of the wicked,
but the pleasant words are pure.
[Verse 14]
He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house,
but he who hates bribes will live.
The heart of the righteous weighs answers,
but the mouth of the wicked gushes out evil.
[Verse 15]
Yahweh is far from the wicked,
but He hears the prayer of the righteous.
The light of the eyes rejoices the heart.
Good news gives health to the bones.
[Verse 16]
The ear that listens to reproof lives,
and will be at home among the wise.
He who refuses correction despises his own soul,
but he who listens to reproof gets understanding.
[Verse 17]
The fear of Yahweh teaches wisdom.
Before honor is humility.
🌩️ [Prophetic Ending – “The Light of the Eyes”]
And I saw the flame of wisdom rising—
the humble crowned with light...
For the path of life leads upward,
and those who walk with Him belong.
