Railfanning during the New Haven Yard Open House on the Metro North Railroad!

Recorded October 2024. Me, my Dad, William and I ventured out to New Haven this past weekend to check out the Metro North Railroad Open House event! This amazing event organized by Emily Moser brought hundreds (maybe even in the thousands) of people to connect with Metro North employees, see some awesome equipment, history and details of how operations work on the Metro North Railroad. We ended up missing Croton-Harmon Open House last year, so we made sure not to miss this event! And it was definitely worth it! After the event, many people had the same idea as we did which was to do some railfanning at New Haven Union Station. It was quite fun to railfan with nearly 50 other people at the same station! Never experienced something like this before! This is an adventure you do not want to miss! Enjoy a rare experience with the Metro North Railroad!
