Nicholas Roske — the man who flew across the country armed and ready to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in 2022 — has been sentenced to just 97 months (a little over 8 years) in federal prison.

Roske, who now reportedly identifies as a transgender woman named “Sophie,” received the sentence from Biden-appointed Judge Deborah Boardman, who admitted to factoring Roske’s transgender identity into her decision.
