Alberta takes lead on new West Coast pipeline

Alberta moved first on a new West Coast pipeline, committing funds and a technical advisory group to advance an application while promising Indigenous co-ownership from the start.
After Alberta’s teachers voted overwhelmingly to proceed with a strike on Oct. 6, the province offered parents $150 per week per student and a free at-home learning toolkit.
In Calgary’s mayoral race, Jeromy Farkas used a Reddit AMA to float “hate-tracking” programs and opposed the province’s use of the notwithstanding clause on youth gender policy.
