“The Universal Grain: Life. What Unites All People?” is a unique documentary based on the Universal Grain social research project implemented by ALLATRA International Public Movement. The project is aimed at identifying and researching fundamental common values and unifying principles across various cultures, religions, and worldviews, in order to create a foundation for intercultural and interfaith dialogue and societal consolidation in the face of global challenges.

The documentary involved thousands of volunteers from many countries: reporters, camerapersons, and specialists who carried out studies and interviews worldwide. The international team of ALLATRA volunteers conducted an unprecedented large-scale public survey, reaching out to people on the streets across the globe as well as to authoritative experts from diverse scientific fields, representatives of various religions, communities, and ethnic groups.

Volunteers addressed people worldwide with the same question: “What unites all people on the planet, regardless of religion, nationality, social status, or skin color?” Their answers form a holistic picture of universal human values inherent in everyone. The results indicate: people of all cultures strive for peace, safety, justice, and an opportunity to have a decent life.

Through this research, it has become possible to establish a foundation for maintaining effective intercultural and interfaith dialogue and to promote consolidation of the global community capable of jointly confronting global challenges.
