What Happened to Taylor Swift, A Breakdown

Full disclosure: for three years running, Taylor was my most listened to artist on Spotify.

I can play Speak Now, Red, and 1989 back-to-back-to-back without pause.

Those are great albums with very rare moments that don’t really resonate with me.

So, even though Swifties will probably label me a “hater,” that’s not the case.

You can appreciate an artist, without liking everything they do.

The Police is my favorite band of all time.

I can’t listen to several songs on Ghost in the Machine.

I absolutely love U2.

They haven’t had a solid album in years.

It is what it is.

You can’t just blindly believe everything your favorite singer/director/politician does, because critical thought is important.

Anyway, my fingers are crossed that this blowback, the first I’ve ever really seen with Taylor, forces her to stage a comeback that’s bigger, better, and stronger than ever.
