Charlie Kirk and My Sambar Deer Hunt.

I have been hunting deer for meat since 2012.

I have never shot at a deer and had a bullet pass through any of my guns to go on and hit a tree then continue through and hit a deer.

Until last Monday afternoon. 29.9.2025.

At 5.30 pm I came across a Sambar stag at 20 meters from me standing Broadside.

It was a split second decision shoot or he will run.

It was not till the next day when I returned did I realize that I shot through the Wattle tree clean through with a massive EXIT wound to the tree. If I had not hit the tree I believe the shot would have dropped the Stag where he stood.

However. The bullet passed through the Wattle and continued onto the deer causing much damage still but not at full velocity and impact.

I spent two days looking for the stag. I picked up his blood trail and followed it for 1 Km from the shot location but then lost his trail.

I hate losing Deer.

I plan to go back this week and look again for him and hopefully nail one for the freezer this time. Sambar are tough as nails some times and other times they drop its all shot placement.

Conclusion.

If CK was really shot with a 3006 Springfield in the neck.

The back of his neck and head would be blown out at the EXIT wound.
