I liked the retro look of this Ice Hockey Shirt from Temu, and the then price of £17.65 made it doubly attractive. Temu is a marketplace for multiple vendors, so be sure to shop around to find the best price as the same goods are usually available from a range of different vendors at a range of prices.

In the bag, I received just the shirt itself with no paperwork or tags included. A nicer presentation would improve the appeal of the garment as a gift, but you cannot have everything.

Firstly, let me say that the quality of the shirt really does feel first rate. Made from 100% Polyester, the shirt feels lighter in weight than I expected, but the quality is certainly well above average. The seams are all stitched, no bonding is used, and the fabric is free from hanging threads or loose ends. The lettering and design details, which I expected to be printed, are, in fact, either woven into the material or embroidered onto it. None of the detailing is going to fade, fall off or rub off anytime soon. Inside the rear of the shirt is a loop of material secured with velcro and a press stud. The purpose of it I cannot say, unless it is to hang it up by or perhaps it has some arcane Ice Hockey use.

There is some confusion regarding the care of the garment. The label inside the shirt says it must be hand washed or dry cleaned, but the website product page says it can be machine washed. Hand washing, I suppose, would be the safe option.

Now, let's look at the always problematic issue of sizing. Normally, the rule with Asian sized garments is to buy one or two sizes larger than usual. That is what I did and purchased XXXL, the largest available. That was a mistake, as fat though I am, this shirt was simply enormous and sits on me like a bell tent. I ignored the sizing guide on the website and went with habit and instinct, which proved a mistake. I cannot be bothered trying to send it back - I can see that being a real performance - and so have just ordered an XL replacement. Yes, that is how much I was impressed by the jersey.

For retro ice hockey fans or lovers of retro chic, I think this is a rather good buy.
