NORTH CAROLINA’S COAST EATS ITS 9TH HOUSE IN 4 DAYS

You'd think people would stop building near the water like this. Another beach house in Rodanthe, North Carolina, just took a one-way trip into the Atlantic.

The whole thing was caught on video, tilting like a sad Jenga tower before completely collapsing in just 78 seconds.

Blame rough surf from faraway Hurricanes Imelda and Humberto, which chewed through the sand dune underneath.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the shoreline here is disappearing at over 10 feet a year, so yeah, nature’s winning.

It seems the ocean wouldn’t eventually take back its turf.

The question now is how fast the citizens of North Carolina can escape from this Atlantis-in-the-making.
