Psalm 130 - Watching for the Morning

Out on the road, we only see what’s on the surface - tinted windows, quick judgments, shallow guesses. So many times we get mad at complete strangers: someone cuts into our lane (like it really belongs to us), leaves the blinker on for miles, or drives slow in the fast lane. And if you’re one of those slow drivers in the fast lane - why? Are you clueless, or just trying to feel important?
The truth is - we don’t know what’s happening with others. Some are racing to pick up their babies, others are heading to their second or third job. We only see the surface.
Psalm 130 pulls the tint back. If Yahuah judged us the way we judge others, none of us would stand.
Romans 3:23 - “For all have sinned and fall short of the esteem of Alahim.”
Matthew 7:1–2 - “Do not judge, lest you be judged. For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged. And with the same measure you use, it shall be measured to you.”
Yet with Him there is forgiveness, blessings, protection, wisdom, and redemption.
Micah 7:18–19 – “Who is an Al like You, taking away crookedness and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? He shall not retain His wrath forever, for He Himself delights in kindness. He shall turn back, He shall have compassion on us, He shall trample upon our crookedness. And You throw all our sins into the depths of the sea.”
Ephesians 1:7 – “In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of trespasses, according to the riches of His favour.”
This psalm is about waiting - waiting for morning, waiting for hope, waiting for the trial to pass and Yahuah’s gifts to be revealed.
Lamentations 3:25–26 – “Yahuah is good to those waiting for Him, to the being who seeks Him. It is good - both to wait and to be silent, for the deliverance of Yahuah.”
Isaiah 40:31 – “But those who wait on Yahuah renew their strength, they raise up the wing like eagles, they run and are not weary, they walk and do not faint.”
While many people stack silver, water, and ammo, Yahuah’s preparation looks a little different: walking with us, speaking with us, showing kindness - and in return, us keeping His Sabbaths and speaking His Name.
Leviticus 26:12 – “And I shall walk in your midst, and shall be your Alahim, and you shall be My people.”
Jeremiah 33:3 – “Call unto Me, and I shall answer you, and show you great and inaccessible matters, which you have not known.”
Micah 6:8 – “He has declared to you, O man, what is good. And what does Yahuah require of you but to do right, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your Alahim?”
Exodus 31:13 – “And you, speak to the children of Yisharal, saying, ‘My Sabbaths you are to guard, by all means, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I, Yahuah, am setting you apart.’”
Joel 2:32 – “And it shall be that everyone who calls on the Name of Yahuah shall be delivered. For on Mount Tsiyon and in Yerushalayim there shall be an escape as Yahuah has said, and among the survivors whom Yahuah calls.”
Acts 2:21 – “And it shall be that everyone who calls on the Name of Yahuah shall be saved.”
Remember, Yahuah laughs at the plans of the ungodly.
Psalm 2:1–4 – “Why do the gentiles rage, and the peoples meditate emptiness? The sovereigns of the earth take their stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahuah and against His Messiah, and say, ‘Let us tear apart Their bonds, and throw away Their ropes from us.’ He who is sitting in the heavens laughs, Yahuah mocks at them.”
Proverbs 19:21 – “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the counsel of Yahuah that stands.”
