Kevin explains why Democrats can't walk any of it back now: they spent decades programming radicals to embrace this insanity. If they suddenly say "that's too far," their own base will eat them alive. Maher's right - the smug self-righteousness defending the dumbest ideas isn't working, and Democrats are stuck in a pickle of their own making. Even liberal voices like Maher see it, but the party won't listen because they need those crazies for their agenda.
