When they say PEACE but mean WAR

In a bold announcement, War Chief Pete Hegseth has revived an idea dating back to 4th-century Rome: that to ensure peace one must prepare for war.

In this message I trace how this ancient paradigm ties into Constantine’s establishment of Sunday laws, the coming digital economy, and the prophetic warnings of Revelation 14 and the Mark of the Beast.

From Constantine’s union of church and state to decrees enforcing worship on Sunday, history reveals how religious authority and civil power were fused. This pattern foreshadows a future system where religion, law, and economics become intertwined—and worship (or forced compliance) becomes central to survival under global governance.

Today, we see the rise of digital ID systems, surveillance economies, cashless societies, and technological control over buying and selling. These are the building blocks of a system that could enforce compliance—“no one may buy or sell unless they have the mark” (Rev 13:16). The “peace” promised is not liberty but coercion.

I argue that when leaders resurrect ancient models of dominance (as Hegseth’s “war to secure peace”), we are seeing spiritual echoes of the final conflict. The Third Angels’ Message signals a decision point: worship God as Creator (keep His commandments, including Sabbath), or bow to the beast’s system. Revelation 14 calls out this coming crossroads of worship, law, and economics.
