DHS and ICE have released a summary of Ian Roberts’ legal and immigration history following his arrest. Allegations include: possession of firearms while living in the U.S. without authorization, prior weapon-related convictions, a final removal / deportation order issued in 2024, and a history of visa, work authorization, and green card applications that were denied or expired.
Authorities say he entered the U.S. on a student visa in 1999, remained without legal status after permits expired, and was arrested after fleeing a traffic stop with a loaded handgun, knife, and cash in his vehicle.
